Better Jobs Ontario
Are you looking for sustainable employment?
Better Jobs Ontario (BJO) is a grant program which can fund education costs for in-demand skills training. BJO seeks to partner with Ontario residents who are unemployed or under-employed to bolster industries and occupations where workers are needed.
BJO considers the applicants employment and training history, current market demands and prospective trends, and the desired training program. Read on below for more information!
What does BJO consider?
Employment History
Including current employment status, types of employment worked, length of time employed and/or unemployment.
Training or Skills Acquired
BJO considers any training the applicant may have received and it’s relevancy for today’s workforce.
Market Demands
Current labour demands and expected trends for the next three years are relied on to determine if the training course and desired occupation are sustainable for the future.

Training Program Requested
Training programs and providers must meet specific criteria to be eligible for BJO.
At our Resource Centre, we offer "Ask the Expert" drop-in sessions where we can assess your eligibility to apply for BJO and discuss possible training pathways. Come visit us today!
