Getting Started

Lambton Works Caseworkers will work with you one-on-one to create an individualized plan based on your goals and current circumstances.

Our staff take a personal approach, working with each individual to understand their unique goals and circumstances. Our caseworkers recognize that employment success is often connected to other areas of life. They take a wrap-around approach, helping identify barriers, connecting clients with appropriate community resources, and supporting progress toward long-term goals.

Employment Action Plan

Once registered, you will meet with your caseworker. During this appointment, the caseworker will ask you questions to better understand who you are, your personal and professional circumstances, and employment goals.

You and your caseworker will develop an Employment Action Plan (EAP), which will outline the steps to reaching your goals.

Your EAP could include career quizzes, resume building, interview practice, life stabilization supports, job search, skills training, or more! EAPs are personal, adaptable, and informed by you.

After your initial appointment, you and your caseworker will stay in close contact and determine future service needs. Your caseworker will make meaningful suggestions and referrals regularly, connecting you with other community and professional agencies as appropriate. You will always be aware of any connections being made on your behalf.

Throughout your journey with Lambton Works, you will have access to our Resource Centre and Employment Community Resource Advisors (ECRAs) on a drop-in basis for additional support.
